LEMUEL P. MURPHY
CASTALIA - Lemuel Paul Murphy, 75, of Castalia died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Franklin Oaks.  He owned and operated Murphy Hardware for many years.  A member of Red Bud Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school secretary and the treasurer.

He is survived by his brother, Glenn Murphy and his wife, Sue of Louisburg; three nieces, Scarlet and her husband, Larry of Goldsboro, Ginger of Pinehurst and Lisa of Princeton; his nephew, Will and his wife, Mary of Louisburg. 

The family received friends Friday from 12 until 2 at Red Bud Baptist Church where funeral services followed at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Gary Shugart officiating.  Interment followed in Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family asked that you consider making donations to Red Bud Baptist Church, 832 NC 58 Hwy, Castalia, NC  27816.
