NAOMI W. LONG
August 8, 1927 – January 20, 2013
LOUISBURG – Naomi Wood Long, 85, passed away Sunday evening.

Naomi was the daughter of late Baylus and Ethel Strickland Wood.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Leroy Long.

A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Duke Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Jake Dorak officiating.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

Naomi is survived by her daughters, Joan (Danny) Bailey of Clayton and Brenda (Kenneth) Patterson of Louisburg; sisters, Martha McCarroll of Midway Park, Rosemary (Vernard) Weant of High Point and Joyce (Wilson) Ham of Pikeville; brother, Claiborn Wood (Mary Leigh) of Spring Hope;  grandchildren, George (Darlene) Patterson and Richard (Mary) Broome; special grand-dog, Daisy.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Duke Memorial Baptist Church Youth Fund, 3976 NC Hwy 581, Spring Hope, NC 27882 or SECU Hospice House, P.O. Box 1376, Smithfield, NC 27577.
