NORWOOD B. KEARNEY
FRANKLINTON - Norwood Blackley Kearney, 93, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Feb. 7, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church by the Rev. Carl Hunter. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He was a native of Franklin County, the son of the late Alfonzo C. and Adell Blackley Kearney. He was a retired farmer and a lifetime member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

 Surviving: wife, Maggie P. Kearney; son, Harold D. Kearney (Pam) of Franklinon; daughter, Dorothy K. Gupton (Charles) of Franklinton; sister, Edith Toler of Franklinton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 1245 Mt. Olivet Church Road, Franklinton, NC 27525.
