DOROTHY P. RAY
WAKE FOREST - Dorothy R. Pleasants Ray, 92, died Monday, March 25, 2013. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 27) at Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Al Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was born in Wake County, daughter of the late Flonnie O’Neal Ross and William Kenneth Ross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, her children’s father, Victor Pleasants, and her second husband, Ballard Ray; sisters, Henrietta, Mable and Joyce; brothers, Jimmy Ross, Charles Ross, Carlton Ross, Garland Ross and W. K. Ross; a grandson and a great-grandson.

Surviving: daughters, Betty Pleasants of Youngsville and Jean Beck of Franklinton; a son, Wayne Pleasants of Wake Forest; brother, Clinton Ross of New Mexico; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
