WAKE FOREST - James Daylon Wheeler, 65, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at Rex Hospital Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at Beulah Christian Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ronnie Snead and the Rev. Ronald Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Johnston County, son of the late Iva Mae Tart and Kate Spencer Wheeler.

Surviving: wife, Betty Pulley Wheeler; daughter, Dayla Jones (Bradley) of Zebulon; stepdaughters, Tammy Case (Donald) of Zebulon, Tracy Price of Virginia; sisters, Wanda Barham of Youngsville, Sharon Davis (Danny) of Louisburg; brother, Thomas Wheeler of Rolesville; two grandchildren; and one step-grandchild.

Flowers are accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615 or to Beulah Christian Baptist Church, 8225 Mitchell Mill Rd., Zebulon, NC 27597.

Friends may visit with the family from 1-3 p.m. Thursday at the church.
