STEVE BRENT MORTON
FRANKLINTON - Steve Brent Morton, 60, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Hospice of Wake County.  Steve was born in Granville County to the late Elmo and Thelma Dickerson Morton on August 20, 1953.

Steve was a hard worker, a wonderful brother, a special uncle to Scott, Dusty and Kim, and loved to grow vegetables and share with his special friends.

Steve is survived by his brother, Mike Morton of Franklinton, N. C.: two nephews, Scott Morton, Dusty Morton and wife, Tammy;  one niece, Kimberly Edwards and husband, Toby; three great-nephews, Cody, Colton, and Caleb Morton; three aunts, Maxine Call, Mary Johnson, and Pattie Mabe.

Steve was predeceased by his brother, Tommy Morton.

A funeral service will be offered 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from The Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 504 East Mason Street, Franklinton, N. C. 27525.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 – 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.

The family would like to thank Linda and Dallas for their wonderful care over the last months.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions in Steve’s name may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, N. C. 27607.

The Morton family is under the care of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Franklinton, N.C.
