NASHVILLE - Funeral services for Herbert B. Perry, 83, who died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Shocco Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lenis Thorpe officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Surviving: wife, Annie Virginia Avent Perry of the home; daughters, Carolyn Moore of Whitakers and Marcie Perry Cooper of Rocky Mount; son, Craig Avent of Richmond, Va.; sisters, Vallie McCowan of Youngsville and Annie Floyd of Seattle, Wash.; brother, Archie Perry of Durham; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
