DORIS V. CREASY
BUNN - Doris V. Creasy, 78, who was known as “Nanny” to many, died Monday evening, Nov. 25, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the New Light Baptist Church cemetery.

She was born in Roanoke, Va., daughter of the late Grace Robertson Vandergrift and John Vandergrift. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin “Bud” Creasy.

Surviving: daughter; Rhoda C. Holbrook of Louisburg; sister, Peggy Creasy of Roanoke, Va.; brothers; Tommy, Gary, Allen and Gus Vandergrift, all of Roanoke, Va.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fallen Fire Fighters Foundation, 2501 Blue Ridge Rd., Suite 250, Raleigh, NC 27607 or to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.

Friends may visit with the family from 12-2 PM prior to the service at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main St., Wake Forest, NC 27587.
