JIMMY R. JEFFREYS
BUNN - Jimmy Ray Jeffreys, 74, of Bunn went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 20th after years of declining health.
He was owner & operator of Jeffreys’ Grocery for 21 years where he showed help and kindness to many friends and acquaintances.

He was predeceased by his parents, Willie & Seddie P. Jeffreys, his in-laws, J. Robert Perry and Stella J. Perry; his sisters, Willie Mae Fuller and Inez Mullen Crater, and a beloved son-in-law, Robert C. Havens.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Melanie P. Jeffreys; his beloved children, Denise J. Havens, Tim and Jessica Jeffreys; sisters, Lucille Perry (Bob), Ernestine Hagwood (Wayne); brother, Donald “Tinky” Jeffreys (Rachel); sisters-in-law, Barbara Gay (Myron), Brenda Langley; brothers-in-law, Dan Perry and Roney Perry (Kathy); and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his home-going to heaven was held Monday, December 23rd, at 6:00 pm at Rock Spring Baptist Church with visitation following the service for family and friends to reflect on special memories he leaves behind. A private burial will be on Tuesday at Bunn Memorial Gardens. All other times the family will meet at the home of his daughter, Denise Havens, at 3756 NC Hwy 39 S, Louisburg.

The family wishes to thank all who have shown concern, and offered help and prayers for our family over the past several years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church School at 394 Ferrells Bridge Rd,, Louisburg, NC 27549, where he was a dedicated member, or Rock Spring Baptist Church, Relay for Life Team, at 34 Rock Spring Church Rd, Louisburg, NC 27549.
