PAMPA, TEXAS—Nicholas Clyde Nelson, 28, died Dec. 28, 2013, in Pampa, Texas.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 5, 2014 in Bunn, North Carolina at his brother’s residence. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors, Pampa, Tex.

Mr. Nelson was born March 11, 1985 in Amarillo.  Nick worked in Bunn, NC with his brother in a concrete contracting business before recently returning to Texas. He was a very kind person, was extremely witty, and had a smile that lit up the room.  He had an amazing ability to help people see the humor in everyday life.  Nick loved music, had a beautiful baritone voice, and was extremely talented.  Words cannot express how much Nick was loved and will be missed by those close to him.

Survivors include his children, Isaac Clyde and Averey Nichole Nelson, Haylee Renee Davis, and Jarron Clyde Daniels; his mother and stepfather, Michelle and Calvin Menefield, of Rogersville, MO; a brother, Eric Richard Parker and wife Sandra of Bunn, NC; a sister, Chelsea Liedstrand of Washington, DC; and his grandparents, Glen and Phyliss Courtney of Branson, MO.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Clyde Nelson, in 2002, and his grandmother, Joan Reeves Courtney, in 2001.
