EDWARD F. COLLERY
FRANKLINTON—Edward Francis Collery, 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Wake Medical Center. A service of worship celebrating his life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Franklinton Baptist Church, 102 West Mason Street.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2:45 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church. Immediately following the service, there will be an interment with military honors at Fairview Cemetery.

He was the son of the late John and Madeline Collery of Bergan County, N. J.   In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Bragg Collery; son, Stephen Edwin Wade; and brothers, James, Joseph, John, and Michael.

Surviving: daughters, Dottie Averette (David) of Franklinton and Cindy Dean (Spencer) of Louisburg; a son, Joseph Collery of Franklinton; and a sister, Madeline Fried of Palm Harbor, Fla.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions can be made to the Franklinton Senior Center, 602 East Mason St., Franklinton, NC 27525 or to the American Legion Post 52 in Franklinton.
