IRENE B. THARRINGTON
LOUISBURG - Irene Burnette Tharrington, 93, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Franklin Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, with the Rev. Dale Eatmon officiating.  Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park. 

She was born to the late James and Mary Smith Burnette.  She was preceded in death by two unnamed infants; her husband, Eugene David Tharrington; daughter, Hilda Tharrington; son, Dale Tharrington; sisters, Emma Patterson, Pearl Vick, Hazel Jones and Blanche Rouse; brothers, John, William and Ed Burnette; and one grandson.

Surviving: sons, Bobby Tharrington, Gene Tharrington and David Tharrington (Kay), all of Louisburg; daughters, Myrtle Allen (Herbert), Mary Gupton and Pam Eatmon (Dale), all of Louisburg; her brother Floyd Burnette of Rocky Mount; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg.  Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
