HALLIE C. WINSTEAD

LOUISBURG - Hallie Carter Winstead, 87, died Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Louisburg Nursing Center. Funeral services were held Monday, April 28, at Maple Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jason Havens officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born to the late Ijar Carl and Lillie Rogers Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Parker Robbins and Billy Winstead; her daughters, Willie Gray Faulkner and Wanda Jean Robbins.

Surviving: daughters, Mary Sue Bell of Louisburg, Vivian Lowery of Henderson and Elaine Robbins of Louisburg; son, Lynn Robbins of Louisburg; four sisters, Susie Sandy of Wake Forest, Betty Lou Shriner of Des Moines, Iowa, Frances Brown and Jean Overton, both of Youngsville; brother, Ijar “Bo” Carter of Rolesville, 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers. contributions may be made to Maple Springs Baptist Church Mission Fund, 1938 NC Hwy 56 E., Louisburg, NC 27549.
