LUCILLE STALLINGS COLSTON

NASHVILLE - Lucille Stallings Colston, 93, died Thursday, July 31, 2014. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 2, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church from 3:00-4:00 pm. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 4:00 pm at the church with Rev. Chet Harvey and Rev. Frankie Carroll. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County to the late William and Annie Borkey Stallings. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church; she sang in the choir and was involved with the Sunshine Sisters. Along with her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, James Randolph Colston, and brothers Durwood, Thurman, Theodore, and Phillip Stallings.

Surviving: daughters, Martha Colston Bass (Ronald) of Nashville, NC and Phyllis Colston Vick; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Lon Stallings of NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
