MYRTLE BEACH, SC- Denver Howard Hill, 88, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at Wake Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at Lakewood Family Campground in Myrtle Beach on Saturday Aug. 30, at 2 p.m.
He was born in Charleston, W. Va., to the late Francis Marion and Lorraine McCormick Hill. He served in the U.S. Navy and then worked as an inspector for the Department of Highways.
Surviving: sons, Micheal (Allison) Hill of Manassas, Va., Charles (Katherine) Hill of Davie, Fla.; daughter, Jennie (Clair) Stampp of Rolesville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jayne Fontaine Hill.
