GEORGE W. CARRICO

FRANKLINTON - George William Richard Carrico, 87, of Franklinton, formerly of Moorefield, W. Va., died Friday, Nov, 14, 2014 at the Franklin Oaks Nursing Home in Louisburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at a later date at the Maple Springs Cemetery, Jerome, Pa.. The family will receive friends from 4 - 7 p.m. prior to services.

Born in Canton Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Samuel James Carrico and Annie Katharine (Emmanuel) Carrico. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Hester (McDaniel) Carrico; a son, Timothy Lloyd Carrico; three brothers, Samuel Carrico, Robert Carrico and Walter Carrico; and a sister, Molly Calcagni.

Surviving is a daughter, Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Carter (Jimmy) of Franklinton, formerly of Moorefield, W. Va.; a son, Lloyd Richard (Dick) Carrico of Kettering, Ohio; two sisters, Eva Stankin of Orange, Calif., and Florence Baker of Deltona, Fla.; a brother, Matthew Carrico of Tennessee; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg is assisting with arrangements.
