HELEN VAUGHAN LOYD

LOUISBURG - Helen Vaughan Loyd, 86 of Louisburg went to be with her Lord and Saviour Friday, December 12, 2014. She was born to the late William Henry and Minnie Vaughan on December 10, 1928. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie R. Loyd, Sr. in January, 2014.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Summerlin and Pastor Larry Ayscue officiating. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery.

Helen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Ann Loyd; her daughters and sons-in-law, Meredith and David Wilder and Loria and Eugene Lester; five grandsons, Lee Wilder (Susan), Robbie Loyd (Jennifer), Wyatt Lester, Chris Wood and Dale Lester; two granddaughters, Marcie Lester and Heather Ferguson (Joe); ten great-grandchildren, Daniel Wilder, Trevor Wilder, Colton Loyd, Eden, and Gena Lester, Dakota and Isaiah Woodlief, Tyler, Taylor and Madelyn Ferguson: sisters, Nellie Rogers and Katy Kearney (Brantley); sister-in-law Henrietta Loyd; many nieces and nephews; her adopted family, James Hale and Tom Allen.

The family received friends Sunday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services.
