FRANKLINTON --Helen Wilder Carter, 98, died Sunday morning, Jan. 25, 2015 at her home. She was born in Franklin County to the late Thomas Frederick Wilder and Janie Etheridge Wilder. Funeral services will held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Franklinton Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

She was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church.

Surviving: daughter, Len Carter Jackson (Dorsey) of Franklinton; son, Tommy Carter (Patsy) of Franklinton; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Frank W. Carter, Jr., and a sister, Dorothy Simmons.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Franklinton Baptist Church, 108 West Mason Street, Franklinton, NC 27525 or to Transitions Life-Care, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.

Friends may visit with the family from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Franklinton Baptist Church prior to the service.
