GARNER - Meredith Hugh Coleman Sr., 63, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Funeral services were held Monday, April 27, at Wake Baptist Grove Church in Garner, with the Rev. Charles Valentine Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Hilliard family cemetery in Garner.
He was born to Margaret Bass Coleman and the late John C. Coleman in Wake County. He spent his childhood in Garner and was a graduate of Garner Senior High School's first graduating class. After attending N.C. Central University in Durham, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a medic in Germany.
Surviving: his wife, Pamela White Coleman; sons, Kevin D. White of Portland, Ore., and Meredith Hugh Coleman Jr. (Erin); his mother, Margaret Bass Coleman; brother, the Rev. John C. Coleman Jr. (Purcella); sister, Evonne Coleman Cooke (Keith); four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
