CLARA E. WILDER

FRANKLINTON - Clara Eaton Wilder, 98, died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg. Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 26, at First Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. Danny M. Wilder officiating.

Mrs. Wilder was born in Franklin County, the 12th child of Jones Russell Eaton and Fannie Boyd Eaton. She served in various church-related positions. She was married to Joseph Johnson Wilder in April 1941.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Blount and Olivia Alston; siblings, Claude Eaton, Salisbury Eaton, Percy Eaton, Ernest Eaton, Jesse Eaton, Earlie Eaton, Christopher Eaton, Goldenburg Eaton, Josephine Burrell, Almania Montague, Maude Eaton and Ida Ward.

Surviving: daughters, Fannie Lucille Wilder Brown of the home and Queen Evelyn Brandon (Elroy) of Hampton, Va.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
