LARRY "SPIKE" J. KEARNEY

LOUISBURG - Larry "Spike" Joseph Kearney, 68, of Louisburg died Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Wake Medical Center. Born June 24, 1947 to the late Joseph "JT" Thomas and Dorothy Wright Kearney. Spike was a hardworking man who loved taking his grandchildren fishing, NASCAR and dirt track racing.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Milton Abbott officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and at the home at all times.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Kearney; his son, Joey Kearney (Angie); his daughters, Melissa Denton (John), Emily Collins (Ritchie) and Amanda Hill (Clay); his brother, Travis Kearney (Susan); his grandchildren, Hannah Kearney, Morgan Denton, Logan Denton, Christopher Collins, Cayla Collins, Chelsey Collins, Russel Hill, Daniel Hill and Juliana Hill.
