PEGGY D. WRIGHT

CUSSETA, GA - Peggy Dixon Wright, 79, of Cusseta, Ga., formerly of Franklinton, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House. A memorial service will be held at 4 pm. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, Ga. 31907.

Also, a memorial service for Mrs. Wright will be held locally at a later date, time and place to be announced.

She was born in Warren County to the late James Byron Dixon Sr. and Lucy House Dixon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Byron Dixon Jr.

After her parents moved to Franklinton, she graduated from Franklinton High School and attended Louisburg College. After marriage to Charles Richard Wright Sr., they located to Cusseta. She retired after 36 years as a secretary at Chattahoochee County Board of Education. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cusseta.

Surviving: husband, Charles Richard Wright; daughter, Theresa Dunnivan; sons, Charles Richard Wright Jr. (Julie) and Randall Dixon Wright; sister, Betty (Ed) Harris of Franklinton; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
