BETTIE JEAN MORRIS

LOUISBURG - Bettie Jean Morris, 67, of Louisburg passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 with her family and friends by her side after a courageous fight with cancer. Bettie was born February 11, 1948 in Hastings, MI to the late Richard and Ruth Shellenbarger. In addition to her parents and husband, Jerry, she was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Twigg.

Bettie is survived by her daughters, Robyn Hines of Willow Spring, Nicole Stinnett (Robert) of Benson, Kimberly Creech (Brooks) of Youngsville; her step-daughters, Neisha Holley (Wayne) of Whiteville, Kirsten Biddix (Rob) of Durham; her grandchildren, Samantha, Amanda, Amber, Monica, Noah, Shanna, Jake, Haven and Cia; her great-grandchild, Madisyn; her sisters, Helen Sinclair, Gloria Malone, Debra Krebs (Leon); and her brother, Michael Shellenbarger (Cathy), all of Hastings, MI; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends for a celebration of her life on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Pearce Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with service following at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park in Louisburg.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
