KAREN G. DENTON
WAKE FOREST - Karen Elaine Girton Denton, 40, died Monday, April 9, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at Red Bud Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leo Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Denton was born in Wake County, daughter of Barbara Sue Linker Girton and Rex Allen Girton.

Surviving: her husband, James Edward Denton Jr.; children, Alexandria Gwenn Denton and Dalton Shane Denton, all of the home; parents, Barbara Sue Linker Girton and Rex Allen Girton of Louisburg; brother, Douglas Allen Girton (Linda) of Louisburg; sisters, Melony Girton of Raleigh and Wanda Carroll Metzinger (Jim) of Louisburg.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions my be made to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565, American Red Cross Triangle Area Chapter, 100 North Peartree Lane, Raleigh, NC 27610, or to the Shepherd’s Table Soup Kitchen, P. O. Box 28024, Raleigh, NC 27611.

Friends may visit with the family from 7 to 8:30 tonight (Wednesday, April 11) at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest.
