Michael Carlyle McDuffie, Jr.
June 26, 1964 - December 28, 2015

Michael Carlyle McDuffie, Jr., 51, of Wilson passed away Monday. His funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Joyner's Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate.

The family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.

Michael is survived by his wife, Carolyn Eatmon McDuffie of the home; his daughter, Emily Michelle McDuffie of Wilson; his son, Evan Michael McDuffie of Wilson; his mother, Linda Williams Pleasants of Greenville; his father, Michael Carlyle McDuffie of Gulfport, Mississippi; brother, Justin Pleasants of Jacksonville; half-brothers, Marc McDuffie and Matthew McDuffie both of Gulfport, Mississippi; his grandmother, Rochelle Williams of Wilson; his loving dogs, JJ and Chloe and Rhett, his grand dog.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Willie F. Williams and Robert "Mac" McDuffie; grandmother, Margaret McDuffie, and his step-father, Fleming "Buddy" Pleasants.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Michael's name to Peace Church, 2838 Tilghman Road, Wilson, North Carolina 27896.
