JANICE WALL PHELPS

FRANKLINTON - Janice Wall Phelps, 84, of Franklinton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Jesse Wall and Margaret Lee Beddingfield Wall and was a member of Union View Baptist Church where she served faithfully for over 40 years. She was married to Archer W. Phelps who preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, February 5, 2016 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Dan Jarmon officiating. Entombment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Phelps is survived by her children, Glenn A. Phelps of Franklinton; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Gene Benfield of Fuquay-Varina, and daughter, Betty J. Phelps of Franklinton; 2 granddaughters, Valerie B. Jarmon of Fuquay-Varina and Erin B. Phelps of Kittrell; 6 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Debra Wall of Wake Forest; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Edith Ross, Ruth Hayes and Wyvette Hayes, and by her brother, Bernice Wall.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the caregivers at Brookdale for the caring and compassionate care that they provided to their mother.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607

Friends may visit with the family from 1-2 Friday prior to the service at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest, NC 27587.(919-556-5811)
