HORACE W. MARSHALL

LOUISBURG - Horace Wiley Marshall, 89, of Louisburg, formerly of Franklinton, died Saturday morning, Feb. 6, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Perry's Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. David Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Lilly Wiggins Marshall and James Ellis Marshall and was married to Frances Denton Marshall, who preceded him in death. Mr. Marshall was a retired maintenance supervisor with Franklin County Schools and was a veteran of the US Army, serving in World War II.

Surviving: his brothers, James V. Marshall (Ann) of Louisburg and Richard Marshall (Marilyn) of Georgia; sisters, Alma M. Small of Franklinton, and Frances G. Marshall of Louisburg. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Vivian M. Moulton and Dorothy M. Cummins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Perry's Chapel Baptist Church, 854 Perry's Chapel Church Road, Franklinton, NC 27525.

Friends may visit with the family at the church from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
