Janet operated and owned The Sewing Source in Spring Hope for over 30 years and more recently, a retail store, Scrub Sensations. She was well respected, both locally and nationally, as a highly motivated and wise business woman. She loved the retail part of her business because Janet loved people. She loved her customers and the opportunity to serve people.

Heaven received Janet on the eve of Valentine's Day which confirmed her life here on Earth as a loving and compassionate person. She taught us to love each other through all of life's circumstances.

She was a woman of faith who always found strength through any challenge, even when there seemed to be no hope. She taught us how to find strength and courage.

Janet embraced life with a joyous and celebratory personality. She was always the one to find the silver lining and to leave you smiling. She always found the lighter side of life.

Janet loved her family. She cherished all of her children and was proud of each and every one of them. She gleamed with pride and joy when talking about their journeys as adults. She adored her grandchildren who were her heart. She and her sisters carried a special bond which was unstoppable.

Janet never missed an opportunity to help people. She never met a stranger. Her spirit was always uplifting and joyous. She welcomed many children into her home during the years of raising her family. She was a mother to many. She will be missed.

The family will receive friends 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
