"PUNK" FALTON L. JONES
October 25, 1932 - May 29, 2016

LOUISBURG - Falton "Punk" Leonard Jones, 83, of Louisburg, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Hillside Nursing and Rehab in Wake Forest. She was a former lifelong resident of the White Level Community.

Born October 25, 1932 to the late Rufus and Dollie House Leonard. She was preceded in death by her husband, T-Model Jones in 1996. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, George, Hubert, Burnell, Bruce and R.D. Leonard; four sisters, Beanie Burnette, Beatrice Milton, Corine Thorne and Hilda Leonard.

A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private burial will be held in the Leonard Family Cemetery.

Surviving are three daughters, Donna Lou "Lulu" Marshall (Johnny); Roxie Dickerson (E.W.), both of Louisburg; Candy Tharrington (Jut) of White Level; two grandsons, Haynes Marshall (Nicki); Colt Dickerson; one granddaughter, Toni Litten (Ehren); five great-grandchildren, Haley, Bryce and Garrett Marshall; Brandon and Jayden Litten; sisters-in-law, Judith Leonard and Jeanette Leonard, all of Louisburg; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend the most heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff, all workers and friends for the superb medical care and friendship bestowed on her behalf. A special thank you to her roommate, Pat Woods, for her kindness.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Durham Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 11368, Durham, NC 27703.
