WILLIAM HENRY COLLINS, JR.

LOUISBURG--William Henry Collins Jr., 83, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016 at Rocky Mount Rehabilitation Center. The family will receive friends tonight (Thursday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, where funeral services will also be held on Friday at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Nathaniel Williams officiating. Interment will follow in White Level Baptist Church cemetery.

He was born to the late William Henry and Kathleen House Collins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie Thurman Collins. He served his country in the US Army as a paratrooper.

Surviving: wife, Irene Morgan Collins; sons, Benjamin Forest Collins (Pat) of Raleigh, Alan Dwaine Collins (Cathy) of Louisburg and Michael Wayne Collins (Terri) of Louisburg; brother, Vincent House Collins of Chesapeake, Va.; sister, Patricia Averett of Louisburg; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
