DENNIS R. SMITH

LOUISBURG - Dennis Ruffin Smith, 61, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in Durham. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. at Corinth Baptist Church, with the Rev. Matthew Bowden officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born to the late Jesse Willard and Annie Hunt Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, C.J. Smith. He was a lifelong member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Surviving: son, Bradley Smith; brothers, Willard Smith (Carolyn), Mike Smith (Connie), Phillip Smith (Brenda); sisters, Connie Collins (Floyd), Alice Abbott (William), Cornelia Clark (Darryl) and Jewel Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 4 to 8 p.m. at the home of Jewel Smith, 127 Trinity Church Road, Louisburg.

Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, N. C. 27549.
