GERALDINE E. HORTON
April 20, 1933 - October 25, 2016

LOUISBURG - Geraldine Edwards Horton, 83, of Louisburg died peacefully Tuesday morning, October 25th at her daughter's home. She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Rosa Branch Tharrington Edwards and Paul Hampton Edwards. She dedicated her life to her family as that was the most important thing to her in her life.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Reverend Casey Luther and Tim Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in the Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Horton is survived by her daughter, Evon Arnold (Nelson); son, Michael Foster, all of Louisburg; stepson, Warren Horton (Peggy) of Rolesville; sister, Mildred Murphy (Lewis) of Durham; brothers, Roger Edwards (Sandra), Donald Edwards (Diane), Mickey Edwards, all of Louisburg; grandchildren, Misty Brown (John), Joey Arnold (Dawn), Corey Foster (Madison) and Chris Horton; great-grandchildren Evonna Brown, John Joseph Brown, Harley Arnold, and Judah Michael Foster; very special friend, Alex Ball of Louisburg.

Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by brothers Jim Edwards, Willard Edwards and Dueward Edwards, and a sister, Sandra Edwards.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church, Window Sanctuary Fund, 929 M.C. Wilder Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
