JANIE TIPPETT FAULKNER

FRANKLINTON--Janie Tippett Faulkner, 73, of Franklinton passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at The Oaks At Mayview in Raleigh. Janie was born on February 18, 1943, to the late Frances Card and Meadows Hayes Tippett. In addition to her parents, Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Faulkner, and a sister, Doris T. Ball.

Janie is survived by her son, Robert W. Smith, Jr.; brother Graham Tippett (Barbara); a niece, Tammy T. Bowers (Brian); a nephew, Walter L. Ball Jr; a great-niece, Roxie L. Gilliam; and a great-nephew, Braxton W. Bowers.

Janie loved her family dearly. She was a lifetime member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and served in many positions over the years. She was a friend to everyone and a caretaker to anyone in need.

There was a funeral service at Ebenezer United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 with the Reverend Mike Edwards officiating. Visitation followed in the church fellowship hall. Burial was in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, consider contributions to Ebenezer UMC, 212 N. Main St., Franklinton, NC 27525.
