C. EUGENE BOBBITT, JR.

LOUISBURG - Clarence Eugene Bobbitt, Jr., 92, departed this earthly life on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Franklin Oaks. Born on November 1, 1924 to the late Clarence Eugene and Annie Dean Bobbitt. After high school Eugene joined the Navy and served his country during WWII. When he left the military he worked for the federal government where he retired in 1978. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, the love of his life, Mildred Murray Bobbitt.

Graveside service was held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, with the Reverend Stuart Lamkin officiating.

Eugene is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Sam McCullough of Alphretta, GA; son, Clarence Eugene "Gene" Bobbitt, III of Louisburg; four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans Program, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
