WILLIAM G. LANCASTER, JR.

LOUISBURG - William "Bill" Green Lancaster, Jr., 82, of Louisburg departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Born on January 22, 1935 to the late William G. and Rosabelle Johnson Lancaster. Bill attended UNC Chapel Hill and Mortuary School in Nashville, TN and was a member of Louisburg Moose Club. The former owner of Lancaster Funeral Home in Louisburg, Bill was a gentle, caring man who loved animals, antiques, sports cars and enjoyed traveling the country.

The family will receive friends Saturday night from 7 to 9:00 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg, where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

Bill is survived by a dear friend, Emily Bass of Franklinton; sister, Nelle Lancaster Bailey of High Point; nieces, Cynthia Morgan of Cary, Barbara Harris and her husband, Jim of Mooresville, Martha Clark and her husband, Christopher of Winston-Salem; and nine great-nieces and nephews.
