LULA M. SHEARIN
December 21, 1926 - March 9, 2017

LOUISBURG - Lula Moon Shearin, 90, went home to be with the Lord Thursday morning. She was born in Louisburg to the late Henry Thomas Moon and Annie Bell Pearce Moon.

She was a loving mother and strong Christian woman. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Shearin, and by her sister, Marie Bass.

Funeral services will be held 3 P.M. Saturday, March 11, at Hill King United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

She is survived by son, James Shearin, Jr; daughter, Deborah Shearin-Liggon and son-in-law, Alan; step-grandson, Spencer, and 2 step-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her special church friend, Parker Sherrod.

The family wishes to thank her loving team of Certified Nursing Assistants that cared for her over the last 5 years.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Hill King Women's Missionary, c/o Wendy Hunter, 37 Minnow Pond Ln., Louisburg, NC 27549.
