EVELINE HOLMES MEDLIN

KERNERSVILLE, NC - Eveline Holmes Medlin, 86, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Kerner Ridge Assisted Living Center in Kernersville, NC, surrounded by family.

A graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, April 9, at the Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton, NC, with the Rev David Averette officiating. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service.

Eveline was born in Franklin County on July 26, 1930 to the late Mattie and Alvah Holmes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tarbart Medlin, Sr; a sister, Helen Lawson; and brothers Wallace Holmes, George Holmes and Charles Holmes.

Survivors include two children - Susan Millard and her husband, Richard of Kernersville, and Tarbart Medlin, Jr and wife, Shell of Kernersville. Also five loving grandchildren - Claire Medlin of Charleston, Keith Medlin of Charlotte, Brian Duncan of Kernersville, Christopher Duncan of Greensboro, and Kendall Burkhead and her husband, Chad, of Summerfield, with one great-grandson, Cade.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franklinton Baptist Church, 108 West Mason Street, Franklinton, NC 27525.
