DORA MAE P. JOHNSON

WAKE FOREST - Dora Mae Pergerson Johnson, 70, died Thursday morning, June 29, 2017 at her residence. There will be visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Bright Funeral Home. A memorial service honoring her life will be held at 2 p.m.in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark Pergerson officiating. A Committal service honoring Dora Mae and Johnny Johnson will be held at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens directly after the memorial service.

She was born in Franklin County the daughter of the late Ida Marie Faulkner Pergerson and Jasper Jennings Pergerson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Edward Johnson; brothers, Robert Pergerson of Youngsville and Jasper Pergerson Jr. of Wake Forest; sisters, Annie Marie Ross "Snookie" of Franklinton, Lilly Ball of Franklinton, Joyce Maness of Franklinton, Ruby Christine Perry "Tina" of Youngsville, Betty Lou Pearce of Franklinton.

Surviving: daughters, Tanya McCord (Bob) of Franklinton and Maranda Mason (Rod) of Louisburg; a sister, Brenda Perry (William "Buck") of Youngsville; and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to Franklinton Parks and Recreation, 7 West Mason Street, Franklinton, NC 27525.
