ZEBULON - Betty Upchurch Pollard, 69, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday afternoon at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Pollard; father, Ennis Upchurch; and brother, Tony Upchurch.

A funeral service was held 3 p.m. Sunday, July 16, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Jennifer Upchurch; granddaughters, Kathleen and Rachel Upchurch; mother, Dorene P. Upchurch.

A visitation was held 6:00 - 7:30 pm on Saturday at Strickland Funeral Home and other times at the home of Harry and Jennifer Upchurch, 5583 Pearces Rd., Zebulon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Anchor Baptist Church Building Fund, 1308 NC Hwy. 98, Louisburg, NC 27549.
