WARRENTON - Joshua Perry Twitty, 98, died Saturday evening, July 22, 2017 at Louisburg Nursing Center.

He was the son of the late William Eldridge and Rebecca Robinson Twitty. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Henry, Frank and Horace Twitty; sister, Martha Twitty Limer; and wife, Louise M. Twitty.

He served in Europe during WWII. He worked at Warren Cotton and Fertilizer Company and was a farmer.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, July 25, at 10 a.m. at Warrenton Baptist Church, with visitation following the service. Burial was held at 9 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Warrenton, prior to the memorial service.

Surviving: stepson, Tommy Twitty (Linda) of Louisburg; two step-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-grandchildren; one nephew and two nieces.
