DOROTHY B. PERNELL
November 8, 1939 - February 6, 2018

LOUISBURG - Dorothy Bobbitt Pernell, 78, of Louisburg, passed away Tuesday evening at her home surrounded by her family.

Dot was a daughter of the late Russell Lee and Mattie S. Bobbitt. She was a member of Louisburg Baptist Church.

Dot loved working in her yard and flower beds. She enjoyed art, traveling and playing golf.

A memorial service will be held 11 am Friday at Louisburg Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private family burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

Dot is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Karl T. Pernell; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Vince Edwards of Louisburg; sisters and brother-in-law, Connie and Jimmy Fuller of Knightdale, Susan Machuca of Brick, NJ; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Louisburg Baptist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 730, Louisburg, NC 27549.
