BUNN--Lynn Batton Johnson of Bunn died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Bunn Baptist Church in the manner of the Society of Friends on Sunday, March 4, at 3:00 PM.

Born Aug. 1, 1933 in Bunn, she was the daughter of Charlie A. and Bettie Wilder Batton. She married Cyrus M. Johnson and together they lived in Wake Forest, Dabney, Lexington, KY, Lima, Peru and Greensboro before retiring back to Bunn. Wherever possible, she continued her education, earning a B.A. in education from the University of KY and an M.A. in early childhood education and a Sixth Year Degree from UNC Greensboro. She taught for 20 years in Greensboro and for five in Bailey.

Surviving are her children, Elizabeth Lynn Johnson of the home, Cyrus M. Johnson and wife Liz Isherwood Johnson of Charlotte, NC.; grandsons, Seth Anderson, Carl Anderson, Blake Medica; great- grandchildren, Nate Anderson, Cara Anderson, Gigi Medica. A memorial service will be held at Bunn Baptist Church in the manner of the Society of Friends on Sunday, March 4, at 3:00 PM.
