WAKE FOREST - Robert T. “Rooster” Wiggins, 75, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007 at his residence.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Corinth U.C.C. in Youngsville. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church cemetery in Youngsville. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

He was born to the late Ernest and Maudener Mitchell Wiggins of Franklin County. He managed and operated a lumber company for many years.

Surviving: his wife, Mary Wiggins; sons, Larry (Evelyn) of Bunn, Robert Ernest (Yolanda) of Henderson, and Michael (Alfreda) of Wake Forest; daughters, Essie Williams of Lawrence-ville, N. J., Elaine Mangum of Newark, N. J., Brenda Glenn of Eagle Rock, Patricia Montague (Luther) of Wendell, Sherri Funchess (Julious) of Youngsville, Deborah Carter (Melvin) of Wake Forest; brother, Howard A. Wiggins (Cornelius) of Baltimore, Md.; sisters, Gladys Young of Raleigh and Dorothy Filmore of Youngsville; 27 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
