OLGA M. IVEY
GOLDSBORO - Olga Murphy Ivey, 74, died Sunday, Nov. 11, at Wayne Memorial Hospital. A service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 14) at New Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Martin Armstrong officiating.

She was born in Greene County to the late Elijah Murphy and Dora Williams Murphy. She had formerly lived in both Raleigh and Louisburg, and had retired from First Citizens Bank with more than 20 years of service.

Surviving: her husband, James L. Ivey; daughters, Dawn Ivey d’Hemecourt (Kerry) of Goldsboro and Delle Ivey of Holly Springs; and two grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dean Ivey Webb.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Building Fund at New Hope United Methodist Church, 200 E. New Hope Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service at the church.
