Cartoon Caption Challenge for 1-2-2008
Cartoon Caption Challenge for 1-2-2008
This is your opportunity to be an editorial cartoonist.

Each issue, we will post a cartoon without a caption and you get to fill in the punchline.

Here are a few guidelines that may help you submit the funniest line...

  • Keep it short. Cartoon humor is the most powerful when it is short and to
    the point.

  • Be original and don't settle for the obvious.

  • These are editorial cartoons so don't worry about your caption being too
biting or scathing. However, remember I won't post vulgarity or anything
    libelous.

Just click on "more" under the cartoon and then post your caption in the
"what's your opinion" feature. Write as many as you wish and then compare
    yours to the rest.

  • Printer-friendly format

I think johncena meant "right to work" state. State employees have formal grievance procedures,etc.. There is a difference.

    Okay, Galvanize, I'll bite...
Elic doesn't NEED charity funds, his support is genuine.
His sexuality IS exposed, his partner well-known, appearing with his family in newspaper photos to support him when he was sworn in.
Elic stepped up, is passionate about wanting to serve his community with a new, fresh voice...and, he's getting things accomplished, bringing people together to work together, and generally seems to be motivating people in his community. Elic is not a 'boy', he is grown and has alot of experiences and knowledge, not to mention motivation, that could benefit Franklinton- which needs all the help it can get, by the way. (Who doesn't around here?!)
I applaud anybody willing to step up like he has, putting themselves into the public eye and under its scrutiny, and trying to tackle the challenges our small towns face. (Obviously the majority felt the same, as they voted for him :)
