GAY E. PURVINE
RALEIGH - Gay Eppenbach Purvine, 65, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at her home. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at the chapel of the Cremation Society of the Carolinas, 2205 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, with Father James of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church of Raleigh officiating. A second memorial service and interment will be conducted in Andes, N.Y., in early summer 2008.

Born in Delaware County, N.Y., to the late Albert and Beatrice Eppenbach, she attended Andes Central School where she graduated salutatorian of her class. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing while living in Wisconsin.

Surviving: her husband, Liston; daughter, Lauri Purvine Burmeister (Greg) of Asheville; sons, Dan Purvine (Kelly) of Cary, Larry Purvine (Sonya) of Youngsville; and six grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Oregon Institute of Technology, Winston D. or Veta M. Purvine Memorial Scholarship Funds, 100 Campus Drive, Klamath Falls, OR 97601.
