MARTHA D. COPELAND
ZEBULON - Martha Durfey Copeland, 78, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Graveside services were conducted at Ahoskie Cemetery in Ahoskie on Sunday, May 28.

She was born in Williamston to James and Sarah C. Durfey. She worked many years for the US Postal Service in Cofield and Halifax.

Surviving: sons, Lee D. Copeland (Dee), James A. Copeland (Betsy); daughters, Kate C. Dilday (Vann), Sarah C. Strickland (Larry); 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Worth Hart.

Arrangements by Massey Funeral Home, Zebulon and Garrett Funeral Home of Ahoskie.
