MAEBELLE H. BUCKNER
RALEIGH - Mattie Maebelle Holden Buckner, 89, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Universal Health Care. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 11, at Oak Level Christian Church in Youngsville. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Mary Julia Holden and Willie Roy Holden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Buckner Sr.; a twin brother, Thomas Holden; and a sister, Josephine Wiggins. She retired from the N. C. Department of Motor Vehicles.

Surviving: her sons, Harry G. Buckner Jr. (Linda) of Franklinton and William T. “Bill” Buckner (Denise) of Raleigh; a sister, Clara Catlett of Jacksonville, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
