JOHN W. MOODY
ZEBULON - Johnnie Wesley Moody, 86, died Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Oliver House in Wendell. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 9) at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. Burial will be in Beulah Christian Baptist Church cemetery, 8225 Mitchell Mill Road, Zebulon, with military honors.

He was born in Wake County to the late Joe Richard Moody and Siddie Perry Moody. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a nursing attendant at State Hospital for many years.

Surviving: brothers, Roy Moody of Raleigh and David Moody of Zebulon; sister, Mary Belle Carter of Wendell; and a host of special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Erwin, Elmer, Joseph and D. L. Moody; sisters, Mary Ethel Puryear and Lucy Mae Puryear.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary’s Street, Fourth Floor, Raleigh, NC 27605.
