CASTALIA - Funeral services for Hattie Pearl Thorne, 69, who died Sunday, May 18, 2008, were conducted Friday, May 23, at Lifeline Outreach Ministry by the Rev. Raphael Holloman. Burial followed in the Thorne family cemetery.

Surviving: husband, Earlie Ray Thorne; daughters, Alice Horne of Norlina, Leslie Mae Rogers and Gloria Yarborough, both of Louisburg; sons, Tony Thorne of Nashville and Dan Thorne of the home; mother, Mary Francis Richardson of Nashville; sisters, Barbara Hargrove and Mary Richardson, both of Nashville, Loretta Richardson of Newark, N.J., Margaret Islam of Bradenton, Fla., and Connie Porter and Debra Wardrick, both of Charlotte; brothers, West Alston, Woodrow Richardson Jr., Elsie Richardson, Clifton Richardson and Maurice Richardson, all of Nashville, Charlie Richardson of Newport News, Va., MacArthur Richardson of Valdosta, Ga., James Earl Richardson of Bailey, Calvin Richardson of Kinston; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Richardson Funeral Home, Nashville.
